Minecraft seed parity: Are the seeds the same between Bedrock and Java?
Since Minecraft 1.18 there is partial seed parity between Bedrock and Java editions. That means :
If a seed is between -2,147,483,648 and 2,147,483,647, then the world will be identical between Java and Bedrock (except for structure placement).
But if the starting number is outside this range, the two versions of Minecraft will generate completely different worlds from each other.
Why this number in particular? Well, it has to do with the fact that Minecraft Bedrock still uses 32-bit integers for its seeds, while Java uses 64-bit integers. A 32-bit integer has a lower bound of -2,147,483,648 and an upper bound of 2,147,483,647, so if you type a number outside of that range as a seed in Bedrock, then the game will change the seed number to that be in that range again.
Best Minecraft Bedrock Seeds
This circular mountain range of ice and snow is the perfect base for building a magnificent Minecraft castle. Filled with pockets that lead underground into cave systems, and surrounded by jungles and forests of all shapes and sizes, there’s plenty to explore with this Bedrock seed.
If you can take your eyes off the fabulous mountain range in the distance, then you will find what lies underground in this seed more than what lies above. You’ll spawn next to an opening in the ground that instantly leads to a monumental cave system of large biomes, dripping and plunging down to the optimum level for finding diamonds in Minecraft.
Mesa and lush caves
The Mesa biomes (or Badlands biomes as they are now called) have always been my favorite. If you’re okay with it, you’ll love this starter seed, which puts you right next to a woodland badlands biome that gives you easy access to starter wood. Also – do you see that crack in the ground in the screenshot above? Head there and you’ll find one of the most amazing lush caves I’ve seen in Minecraft 1.18 so far.
Villages and pyramids everywhere
Take a look at the screenshot above. How many NPC structures can you see? If the answer is less than 5, then take a closer look. That’s right, this Desert and Badlands seed is an absolute godsend when it comes to early Village and Desert Pyramid spawns. You certainly won’t run out of food and gold, that’s for sure!
Easy plains spawn
If you’re looking for a quick start in a new world of Bedrock, you could do a lot worse than this pleasant Plains seed. There’s plenty of wood and other basic materials on the surface – not to mention plenty of flat ground on which to build your first Minecraft house. But you also start your journey by looking straight into the mouth of a cave system, with plenty of early iron ore to jump-start your armor and tool progression.
Swamps and rock formations
Part of the charm of Minecraft’s terrain generation has always been the random quirks and quirks that appear in certain places – and it seems 1.18 has its share of that too. This bedrock seed spawns you at the edge of a sprawling, pockmarked swamp – a biome that should get some good attention in Minecraft 1.19 – but the most eye-catching feature of this seed is definitely the near-floating rock formation on the coast next to it. from you. This is also a useful feature for a starting seed, as you will find various pieces of Coal and Iron Ore easily exposed for mining in these rocks.
Minecraft 1.18’s terrain generation didn’t just add gigantic mountains to its worlds. This affected the terrain of every biome – and you can see the proof of that in this wonderful savanna-covered bedrock seed. The hills are much higher than in version 1.17 and the slopes are more gradual. Watch how rivers cross the world, leaving steep cliffs and interesting geographical features. It’s a wonderful place to start a new Minecraft adventure.
Mountains and mansions
You might appear in this Minecraft world looking directly into a block of oak leaves, but turn around and you’ll see why I recommend it: a colossal mountain of ice and snow dominates the landscape, with more peaks in the distance to the -of the. There is also a mansion hidden in the forest next to the mountain, which you can easily turn into a grand initial home.
Forest & Jungle
Tree lovers, this seed is for you. Forest and jungle stretch out to the horizon in all directions, giving you easy access to every type and color of wood you can imagine. Perfect for architects who want to create a beautiful new survival mode Minecraft build. And that’s not all: follow the river and you will come across splendid mountains – the result of the new terrain generation system in Minecraft 1.18.
Big Island Spawn
There’s something to be said for a world that doesn’t expand forever. Minecraft’s endless landscapes are amazing, of course, but if you yearn for a few natural borders, then you might enjoy this island seed. It’s far from a survival island; as you can see it’s quite a massive island containing several biomes and lots of resources. And other bits of land aren’t too far away if you want to explore more. But for those who like the kinds of self-contained areas you might find on various Minecraft adventure maps or Minecraft PvP servers, you might want to try your hand at conquering this island.
