Minecraft Dungeons uses merchants in-game. Merchants are non-player characters (NPCs) that players can buy and trade items from in exchange for emeralds. Merchants can be found in different areas, and each merchant has a different set of goods in their inventories. These can be used to purchase all sorts of weapons, armor, and other items for players.
There are six merchants in total and at some point players will need to find and buy something from them. Here’s where to find them all and what players can expect from them.
Where to find all Minecraft Dungeons Merchants
The first merchant is the black-smith, a merchant who can upgrade player items, be it weapons or armor. The blacksmith will spawn in the camp after being rescued by a Redstone Mines player. It can spawn in Camp or Broken Citadel.

The luxury merchant is another merchant who can sell unique items to the hero. The vendor will be the only place to find certain items, many of which are of the same quality as boss loot. After players collect the Merchant, it spawns in the Cacti Canyon camp. He can appear there, in the camp or in the destroyed citadel.
The mystery shop appears in the camp after being rescued by the player inside a ship in Pumpkin Pastures. This merchant sells mysterious loot crates to the player, so it’s unclear what he might get out of them. It can spawn in Pumpkin Pastures, Camp, or Broken Citadel.
The village merchant will appear in the camp after being rescued by the Creeper Woods player. It sells common and rare items to the player and can spawn in Creeper Woods and Minecraft Dungeons camp.

The gift wrap merchant allows players to gift weapons, armor, or other artifacts to other players on their side. He appears in the camp after being rescued by the hero in the soggy swamp. He can appear there, in the camp or in the destroyed citadel.

The end merchant is the piglet dealer, which is a merchant who sells gold gear to players and uses gold as currency rather than emeralds. It spawns in the camp inside a cave right next to a Nether portal, after the hero obtains a gold coin by completing an ancient hunt.
