How will crowd voting work in Minecraft Live 2022?

At a recent Minecraft Now event, Senior Game Director Agnes Larsson announced the official date for the Minecraft Live event to be held in 2022. This is the largest and most important event from Mojang where they announce all the new features coming and everything they have been. work on. Like the previous year, players will be able to participate in a new popular vote this year.

Crowd votes are polls where Mojang introduces three new monsters and asks millions of gamers and fans to vote for their favorite. Once a mob wins the vote, it is added to the next game update.

The Minecraft preview has been updated with a new button that says “Minecraft Now”, which now has an active countdown. This is how this year Minecraft Live will be revealed as well as how crowd voting will be done in 2022 so no voting via Twitter as mentioned by @RogerBadgerman https://t.co/2uakUHrZnL

Before the day of the live event where players vote, they post an introductory video explaining the features of each new monster. While popular votes aren’t new to live events, their implementation in 2022 will change dramatically.

All about the new crowd voting system in Minecraft Live 2022

The popular vote is no longer on Twitter

In third place is the Glare, we suppose you’re not as afraid of the dark as we are? This leaves the Allay and the Copper Golem face off in the final round! Vote for your winner now!

Mojang has been hosting its annual live events for a while now. Previously, whenever they wanted their fans to vote for a crowd or an article, they would usually choose Twitter as their social media platform to set up a poll and ask fans and players to vote. This trend continued until 2021, when players chose Allay to be added to The Wild Update.

However, that will change as Mojang expands the official launcher, unlocking more functionality in the Bedrock Edition and overall creating a bigger space for every player to stream and interact.

Mojang is gradually developing its official game launcher and trying to integrate new features into it, including the upcoming crowd voting system. During the next live event to be held on October 15, players will be able to vote for their favorite mobs directly from the official game launcher itself.

A new section will appear called “Minecraft Live” alongside Java Edition, Bedrock Edition, and Dungeons where players can vote for upcoming mobs. However, to do this, players now need to have the official game launcher, which is only available to those who own the game.

Along with a new tab in the official game launcher, Mojang also plans to add a new feature to Bedrock Edition called “gatherings.” These are basically multiplayer worlds that are officially hosted by Mojang. Players can join these worlds and play several mini-games. This gathering will be available for players to join from the game’s main page.

During Minecraft Live 2022, players will also be able to vote for their favorite mobs directly from the new gatherings. Mojang recently tested the brand new feature in the game’s beta and preview as they hosted the Minecraft Now event live on YouTube. This new feature will soon be added to the main edition of Bedrock once it is polished.
