Minecraft has grown exponentially since its launch, especially over the past few months. The game continues to be one of the most popular games in the gaming industry. Mojang Studios is set to release a big update for Minecraft later this year which will bring a plethora of new things to the game.
Minecraft Bedrock Beta received a new update today that introduces a plethora of new content, bug fixes, and performance improvements. The addition of several new blocks in lush caves is quite remarkable. Lush caves were added in the last update, and this update seems to make them even more immersive. Here are the full patch notes for the update.

World Generation Changes
- Build range and build limits have been extended 64 blocks up and 64 blocks down, for a total range of 384 blocks
- Underground features, structures and caves generate up to y -64
New lush cave blocks!
Note: We’ve added several new blocks that will spawn in Lush Caves, but the caves themselves won’t spawn in the world yet!
- Added Spore Blossom block
- Introducing the foam block and foam mat
- Random vegetation can grow on the foam blocks when fertilized
- The moss carpet is lush cave vegetation that resembles carpets of wool
- The hoe is the most effective tool for digging foam blocks and foam mats
- Added azalea blocks and blooming azaleas
- Added Cave Vines:
- Use Glow Berries to place Cave Vines under other blocks
- Cave Vines have a random chance to grow from time to time
- When cave vines grow, they have a chance to contain glowing berries
- Interacting with a cave vine that has light berries causes the light berries to burst
- When a Cave Vine that has no Glow Berries is fertilized, it gets Glow Berries
- A Cave Vine block that has Glow Berries emits light
- Cave Vines are climbable
- Presentation of the light bays:
- Use them to attract and raise foxes
- They can be eaten and are as nutritious as sweet berries
- Bright Berries can also be planted in the bottom of most solid cube-shaped blocks to place cave vines underneath.

- Plowing the rooted dirt with a hoe turns the block into dirt and pops out a root item
- Azalea and Flowering Azalea can now be used as heating fuel
- Dripleaf blocks added
- Big Dripleaf Block is a platform block in the lush caves. Entities above the block will cause the block to tilt and the entity to fall
- Small Dripleaf Block is a decorative block in Lush Caves. Bone Meal Creates a Big Block of Dripleaf
Bug fixes and adjustments
Copper and lightning rod
- Copper ore block textures are oriented correctly (MCPE-116068)
- Copper ingots can now only be crafted from unoxidized copper blocks on the crafting table (MCPE-116091)
- Block state ambiguity regarding dripstone_thickness and copper_oxidation states is resolved (MCPE-116756)
- Copper blocks, slabs and stairs are saved using separate BlockIDs (MCPE-116754)
- The sound of walking/running on copper blocks is not assigned to the “Gamers” audio category
- Waxed Copper Blocks can now be cut in Stonecutter
- Fixed weather cut copper block not being cut into slabs in Stonecutter
- Crafting slabs from copper blocks in a stonecutter will now result in two slabs
- Copper blocks, stairs and slabs now have the correct map colors
- Lightning strikes target entities and crashes them in the same priority order as Java
- Copper Oxidation now uses Random Tick to change state, parity with Java
- It is now possible to pickle copper using an oven
- Stonecutter can be used to get cut, slab and stair variants using copper block or cut copper block
- Right-clicking copper while holding an ax will scour the copper, scraping off the patina one step at a time
- Waxed Copper Block variants cannot be Waxed using Furnaces or Blast Furnaces
- Particles are emitted around Copper Block when:
- Waxed by the player
- Waxed by a distributor
- Waxing per player
- Scrape off the patina layer
- Hit by lightning
- Lightning rods struck by lightning will reduce the oxidation age of nearby copper blocks
- Sheets surrounded by blocks no longer become opaque when a lightning rod is placed on them (MCPE-116256)
- Lightning rods no longer connect to fences or walls (MCPE-116150)
- Lightning rods are now waterlogged, which in turn fixes an issue with water removal (MCPE-116541)
- The lightning rod emits particles during a thunderstorm if there is nothing above
- Players can interact with other blocks while holding a lightning rod (MCPE-116074)
General
- Sign text is no longer invisible on older worlds (MCPE-119628)
- Ink bags and dyes now play sounds when used on signs (MCPE-117944)
- Selecting the featured offer on the profile screen will correctly redirect the user to the full list of featured offers
- Fix for lost data of uninvited split-screen players on Xbox (MCPE-55815)
- Adjusted login button text to Portuguese-BR button
- Use a lighter color for the text in the Storage menu on the Settings screen
- Fixed an issue where button textures scaled incorrectly when applying resource packs
- Enabled navigation to the back button using only the keyboard in some screens where it was not possible
- Fixed a bug where switching between profiles causes all other previewed profiles to be replaced by the initial /clear command will apply the correct “data” argument for the sapling item (MCPE-117889 )
- The clear command will no longer remove an extra item from the player’s offhand slot (MCPE-116857)
- Fixed a bug where if the floating view setting was disabled, the player’s hand would continue to move (MCPE-79380)
- Fixed HudCursor not rendering colors inverted (MCPE-58826)
- Piston and Sticky Piston no longer appear black when outline selection is disabled (MCPE-53858)
- Fixed fog in Nether biomes not displaying correctly in some resource packs (MCPE-111680)
- Glitchy lines no longer visible on panels with text (MCPE-110321)
- Fixed barrier bug where non-full blocks would flicker due to barrier not writing depth (MCPE-116767)
- Non-persistent mobs no longer disappear immediately after loading into the Nether
- Drowned will now swing their arm when throwing tridents
- EULA links will no longer exclusively link to the en-us locale
- Fixed a crash when entering a Nether portal and throwing an enchantment bottle at the same time (MCPE-114793)

- Steve pants no longer color the bottom of the skin’s feet when no shoes are equipped
- Multiplayer game users should no longer see other players using parts on their skin that they don’t have as Steve
- Switching skins in split screen should now be correctly saved for all local users and updated correctly for remote users
- Alex shirt no longer looks corrupted when equipped with different pants
- “Hurray! » Emote will now show in emotes section if already owned (MCPE-111165)
VR
- Death screen is now visible when behind fullscreen effects (on fire, standing in a portal, etc.) in VR
- Fixed hidden UI elements rendering translucent, including when displaying menus near blocks
- Item aliases don’t show up in autocomplete for duplicate items, but commands can still succeed if the user runs the command with aliases
