Minecraft Bedrock Beta caves and cliffs update today June 3rd

Minecraft Bedrock Beta Caves and Cliffs Update Today June 3 – Patch Notes (1.17.10.21)

android

  • Due to submission issues, this week’s beta update is not available on Android devices. But don’t worry, he’ll be back soon! Multiplayer with the previous beta, version 1.17.10.20, is still compatible with this version.

  • Added potted azalea and blooming azalea variants

Stability

  • Fixed a crash that occurred when breaking a block when the Caves & Cliffs experimental toggle was enabled (MCPE-128985)

  • Diamond ore generates again with the correct distribution (MCPE-127555)

  • Glistening Lichen now only drops when broken with shears

Orders

  • Frosted Ice can now be used in any command that accepts a block, such as ‘/setblock’ and ‘/testforblock’ (MCPE-126741)

  • Updated documentation for ‘DisplayNameItemComponent’

  • Disenchanting an item using the grindstone once again correctly resets the enchantment cost penalty (MCPE-107211)

Items

  • Pumpkins are once again accepted by farming villagers, regardless of their rotation during extraction (MCPE-105540)

Jukebox

  • Jukebox now only ejects the disc in non-solid blocks (MCPE-85635)

Monster

  • Baby horses, including their variants, are now taller and no longer feature Z combat from their legs (MCPE-92462)
  • Amphibious mobs no longer get stuck when passing over slabs and daylight sensors
  • Glowing squids under attack no longer only darken for the attacker in multiplayer sessions
  • Villagers from villager spawners on market worlds that were created after 1.11 now correctly appear as V2 villagers

Goat

  • Tempted goats now move at the same speed as goats in Java Edition, and other similar mobs that are tempted
  • Goat fall damage reduction is now on par with Java Edition (-10 fall damage reduced)
  • Goats can now continue to ram when on mud blocks and honey blocks

wanderers

  • Wanderers no longer drop skeleton skulls when killed by charged vines (MCPE-35876)

Bastion

  • Stronghold loot now closely matches Java Edition (MCPE-104330)

Player

  • Players can no longer swim in the air under a platform, although it looked pretty cool (MCPE-48958)

User interface

  • The “Reset to Default” button in the Accessibility settings now resets the Text Background Opacity slider

Parts

  • Limit block writes unless necessary. Songs upgraded from older formats will not be automatically saved on load, but when modified (via blocks or actors, for example) they will be marked for saving.

Data Driven Mobs

  • Horse rendering and animations are now fully data driven
  • This book supports all horse variants (horse, mule, donkey, zombie horse, skeleton horse) and all horse versions, including:
    • v1 (engine version 1.2.5 and earlier)
    • v2 (engine version 1.2.6 to 1.17.0)
    • v3 (engine version 1.17.10 and later). This will be a cleaner version of the v2 model, with less confusing bone naming

GameTest Framework

  • Updates to how blocks are handled in APIs:
    • BlockType, BlockPermutation, and Block instances override BlockState-based update
  • Exposed Chest Block Component and Container
  • Added location and speed read-only properties to the entity
  • function createExplosion(location: Location, radius: number, explosionOptions: ExplosionOptions) – Creates an explosion
    • ExplosionOptions: class – Provides additional configuration parameters for createExplosion
  • method triggerEvent(eventName: string) – Triggers an event on an entity
  • Added ‘thenExecuteFor’ to ‘GameTestSequence’, which repeatedly calls the callback for the specified number of ticks
