The philosophy of Minecraft is to remain platform independent and to continuously improve with endless updates and fixes. On Wednesday, Mojang Studios encompassed both of these mantras by releasing the 1.18.12 patch update to all platforms where Minecraft: Bedrock Edition is available. The most recent public version of Minecraft includes a handful of fixes that build on an earlier version of Minecraft.
Minecraft: Bedrock Edition 1.18.10 was released last week with over 100 fixes and improvements, a colossal update that builds on the Caves and Cliffs update. However, the release also inadvertently introduced new issues, which Mojang Studios worked tirelessly to resolve. Today’s 1.18.12 patch addresses many of these newly introduced issues.
Minecraft: Bedrock Edition 1.18.12 is now rolling out to all Minecraft platforms, including Xbox, PlayStation, Switch, PC, mobile devices, and Xbox Game Pass. In case you missed it, Mojang Studios intends to phase out the Minecraft: Bedrock Edition beta program in favor of Minecraft Preview, which is already available to test on multiple platforms.
Minecraft is one of the greatest Xbox games of all time, a vision supported by a community of hundreds of millions of players and a household name around the world.
