Minecraft Dungeons guide: How to use the new Mystery Merchant

So what happened to the previous functionality of these two providers? They were both rolled into one: the quirky, slightly sleazy Mystery Merchant, who takes up a whole new stand in your camp. The Mystery Merchant is one of five new vendors added in Minecraft Dungeons, alongside the Village Merchant, Luxury Merchant, and Blacksmith, but it effectively merges and replaces the tasks of the previous two vendors. With the Mystery Merchant, you can choose from three different types of Mystery Boxes that contain a random item within your Power Level range. This is another way to spend your hard-earned emeralds, but don’t confuse them with loot boxes.

Although the boxes contain random items and you don’t have a choice (can be rare and powerful, common and weak, or somewhere in between), you’re not playing with real money. The only in-game currency in Minecraft Dungeons are Emeralds, and these are not available for purchase (although you can farm them).

The Mystery Merchant allows you to live a bit on the edge by letting you spend your emeralds on something that could be able be wise. In addition, the prices are right between the village merchant and the luxury merchant.

How can I use the mystery shop in Minecraft Dungeons?

The Mystery Shopper will never tell you what you’ll get out of a box, but you can see what kind of item will be inside. There are three different boxes to choose from, each with a different color and icon, which clearly indicate what you can expect when spending your emeralds. The most expensive box will contain a random artifact, with boxes also available containing random weapons and armor. By default, the Mystery Shopper only has two slots available (so you’ll only have two slots to choose from), but persistence and knowledge allow you to upgrade the Mystery Shopper by completing vendor-specific missions. If you want to go ahead and invest in a Mystery Box, simply highlight your selection and hold down the corresponding button (“A” on an Xbox controller) and the Mystery Shopkeeper will allow you to unbox your gear. random. There are a few other features that the mystery shopper can take advantage of just like other shoppers.

There is a restock fee, which will slowly increase as you use it, until you complete a mission. However, the Mystery Shopper’s restocking fee is understandably much lower than other providers since you don’t know what you’re restocking (and will only use this option if the Mystery Shopper doesn’t currently stock the type of the box you want). It’s always a nice feature to have. Keep in mind that this will restock all available inventory slots except those that have been reserved.

If there is a box that has really caught your eye and you want to make sure it’s not going anywhere, you can reserve it by highlighting it and pressing the corresponding button (“X” on an Xbox controller). Again, this function is not like useful with the mystery shop like other vendors, since you book what’s basically anything in the game in three categories, but if you just need to complete a quick mission to save emeralds and don’t want risk losing this category of box, the function is there.

To further reduce the chances of needing to use any of these features, you can upgrade the mystery shopper to store more random mystery boxes at once, up to six!

How can I improve the mystery shop in Minecraft Dungeons?

Most of the new Minecraft Dungeons vendors allow you to upgrade their abilities by completing unique missions for them. You can view and track these missions from the vendor menu, and regularly unlock new inventory slots that allow the vendor to store more items. This is no different for the Mystery Shop, which only stocks two Mystery Boxes by default. However, by completing four missions, you can increase this number to six. As with other providers, the missions are the same in all areas, but with higher difficulties.

For the Mystery Merchant, your job is to defeat the enchanted monsters. There are four tiers here – 5, 25, 250, and 2,500. Obviously, there’s a huge gap between higher missions, so it’ll definitely take you a while to successfully unlock all of the Mystery Shopper inventory. . However, the lower missions aren’t too difficult, so it shouldn’t take long for this vendor to have at least four slots instead of two.

Enchanted mobs can either mean mobs that are already enchanted when you encounter them (and are usually quite formidable) or mobs that have been enchanted afterward by an enchanter, which can be found in most levels of Minecraft Dungeons. Most of the time targeting an enchanter to make the fight easier is the way to go, but to complete these missions the mob must be enchanted when it dies, which means you’ll need to avoid killing enchanters for the mob to kill. account .
