It’s been a very quiet week at retail in the UK
Minecraft on Switch was the UK’s best-selling boxed title for the week ending January 15 – sales of the SKU were up 112% week-on-week.
It was followed by FIFA 22, which held steady at No. 2 for the third week in a row.
Super Mario Party ranked #3, growing 386% week-over-week following various retailer sales.
Last week’s #1, Mario Kart 8 Deluxe, settled for #4 with a 38% drop in sales.
Two titles returned to the charts in good position this week: Minecraft Dungeons took 7th place with a 387% growth, and WarioWare: Get it Together landed in 12th place with a 465% increase in sales of a week to week. Both were boosted by retailer promotions.
Boxed unit sales across all titles were down 26% week-over-week as the industry slowly gears up for a number of big releases in the coming weeks, including Pokémon Legends Arceus, Rainbow Six Extraction and Elden Ring.
