Telltale Games has announced that the second episode of Minecraft: Story Mode season 2 will arrive on August 15. Called “Giant Consequences”, the second installment will see a simultaneous release on Xbox One, PS4, PC, Mac and mobile devices.
The second episode sees Jesse and the rest of his crew venture out of the Sea Temple and into the next stage of their new adventure. From Telltale:
Jesse and the gang survived the Temple of the Sea, but they brought home a little more than expected: a lost adventurer, a powerful device, and a colossal enemy capable of grinding Beacontown to dust. There may be more to this fearsome foe than meets the eye, but to find out, Jesse – along with a few loyal friends – must embark on another adventure, this time into the frigid unknown…
The second season launched on Xbox One and Windows 10 earlier in July and will consist of a total of five games released over the next few months. If you played the first season, the decisions you made will impact parts of the second. This season also features a voice cast that includes Patton Oswalt, Catherine Taber, Ashley Johnson, and Scott Porter, as well as cameos from YouTubers Stampy Cat and StacyPlays.
Telltale and Mojang also announced today that the first season of Minecraft: Story Mode will launch in full on Nintendo Switch on August 22.
If you want to try out Minecraft: Story Mode season 2, you can currently grab the first episode for $5 on Windows 10 or purchase a full season pass for $25 on Xbox One.
