Season 2 of Telltale Games’ Minecraft story mode is out now on Xbox One and Windows 10. Specifically, the first episode of the five-part season is up for grabs now, with the rest of the episodes coming later.
The second season continues the story of the first, following Jesse and his friends on a new adventure. From the game description:
Now that Jesse and the gang have defeated the Wither Storm, saved the world, and become totally super famous heroes, life just got a little more…complicated. With more responsibilities and less time for adventure, old friendships have begun to fade – at least until Jesse’s hand gets caught in a creepy glove that belongs to an ancient underwater temple. Along with old friends and new comrades, Jesse embarks on an all-new journey filled with tough choices, good times, and at least one wayward llama.
Minecraft developer Mojang previously noted that the decisions you made in the first season will indeed carry over and impact parts of this new season. This season also features a voice cast that includes Patton Oswalt, Catherine Taber, Ashley Johnson, and Scott Porter, as well as cameos from YouTubers Stampy Cat and StacyPlays.
If you want to jump into Telltale’s latest storytelling adventure in the Minecraft universe, you can grab the first episode for $5 on Windows 10 or purchase the full season (with more episodes to come later) on Xbox One. for $25. . Unfortunately, there’s no Xbox Play Anywhere support, so you’ll have to buy the game twice if you want it on both platforms.
