Netflix is one of the largest and most beloved streaming services in the world. It houses a plethora of movies, web series and so on. Last year, the service added an interactive video series to its library, featuring Puss in Book: Trapped in an Epic Tale and Buddy Thunderstruck. Now, it looks like a new series is joining the cast.
As reported by Tech RadarNetflix and Telltale Games have reached an agreement that will bring simple gaming experiences to the streaming service. Netflix has confirmed a streamable version of Telltale’s Minecraft: Story Mode which will offer an adapted version of the Telltale Games original.
According to Netflix, “Minecraft: Story Mode is a licensed 5-episode interactive storytelling series that will be available this fall. It’s an extension of our other interactive stories we have on our service like Stretch Armstrong: The Breakout, Puss in Book: Trapped in an Epic Tale, and Buddy Thunderstruck: The Maybe Pile.

The overall experience is “delivered via video files and will accept commands via any remote equipped with directional and select buttons.“Basically, at selected intervals, users will have the choice of choosing from two options, deciding how the story will progress.
Minecraft: Story Mode was originally introduced in October 2015. While we don’t have much information on how things will play out in Netflix’s interactive video series, we expect it to be an experience immersive for children and adult fans of the franchise. look alike.
