Sad news for those who enjoyed Minecraft: story mode from Telltale Games as word has finally come that the game will be pulled from stores. It’s been a minute since we’ve had any bad news about the spinoffs from Telltale Games, but the latest game series affected by the move is the popular Minecraft story that they set up with Mojang, who were the ones who posted the bad news this week.
Today we have some important information to share for all players of Minecraft: Story Mode – A Telltale Games Series, Season 1 and 2, on behalf of its publisher. As you may have heard, its publisher is no longer in business, which unfortunately means that Minecraft: Story Mode will no longer be supported. If you purchased these seasons, please download all remaining episodes before the service is discontinued in June. Here is the full message:
“On behalf of the publisher, Minecraft: Story Mode – A Telltale Games Series, Seasons 1 and 2 will no longer be supported on June 25, 2019. If you have purchased these seasons, please download all remaining episodes before stoppage of service in June.”
On the bright side, this means that if you already own either game on either platform, you can still download it until it goes offline at the end of June. But once he’s gone, don’t expect him to come back because we’re sure all the problems with Telltale will last for several years. The game has a pretty impressive cast, in case you want to check it out, as it features the voice talents of Patton Oswalt, catherine taber, Ashley Johnson, Brian Posehn, Martha Plimpton, Scott Porter, Dee Bradley Baker, Dave Fennoy, Corey Feldman, gray griffin, John Hodgman, and Paul Rubens.
